It's hard enough to test all the hardware variables for a PC release but now, it's exponentially more difficult with a countless number of user created files. ![]() ![]() ![]() It would also be possible to sent a virus or trojan with these files as well it has happened with GMOD in the past. Even if everyone on the server starts frantically button-mashing, it wouldn't even come close to a constant stream of file data being sent to each client taking part in this. Not only will the netcode would have to be written practically from scratch to accommodate this but new severs would have to be put in place to make up for the increase in bandwidth usage. ![]()
